Yesterday, for the whole day, there has been numerous posts on every social media platform with statuses & pictures showcasing some beautiful messages on women & wishing Happy Women's Day. But ask your conscience, are we really ready to celebrate Women's Day? I don't believe so. For what have we done for them besides praising and clapping for their humongous contributions to our lives? We can't even promise them a safe day out in this world, let alone a safe life. We can't allow them to stroll independently after it's dark even in an independent nation. The rate of crimes on women has been always on the rise & the graph has been climbing steadily upwards. Wouldn't it have been much better if we took some initiative and did some appreciable work to save the women from rapes, torture, injustice and all forms of crimes committed on them rather than just posting some colourful pictures praising them or some damn statuses or blog posts like this? But we all chose to celebrate womanhood in a single day & then carry on with our busy lives.
